عبدالله بن محمد بن ولي، الآيديني، الكوتاهيه لي، الحنفي ، الكوتاهيه لي توفي مؤلف هذا الكتاب بعد سنة 1137 هـ، وهي سنة تأليفه لكتاب شرح البناء كما في نسخة مكتبة تكه لي أوغلي (أنطاليا – تركيا) رقم: 582. وذكر أنه توفي بعد سنة 1152 هـ بناء على أنه ألف كتابه أزهر الشروح بهذه السنة، اعتمادا على نسخة في المكتبة السليمانية بتركيا رقم: 975. وهذا التاريخ إنما هو تاريخ نسخ لا تاريخ تأليف، إذ تاريخ تأليف كتاب أزهر الشروح هو 1123 هـ كما جاء به مصرحا في نسختين في جامعة الملك سعود بالرياض رقم: 4224، و6787.
