British Library - Endangered Archives Program (EAP)

The Endangered Archives Program (EAP) is a funding program and digital archive run by the British Library in London. It aims to protect cultural heritage in places where resources may be limited. Each year, EAP awards grants to researchers to identify and preserve culturally significant archives by digitizing them in situ. Original archival material is inseparable from its country of origin, and projects often include local training and career development. EAP focuses on materials created before the mid-twentieth century. Related programs also supported by Arcadia include the Endangered Languages ​​Documentation Project at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy, the Endangered Knowledge Documentation Program at the British Museum, the Modern Endangered Archives Program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Endangered Timber Architecture Program at Oxford Brookes University.
