IRCICA Library

Founded in Istanbul in 1979, IRCICA (Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture) operates for the purpose of researching, preserving and disseminating the cultural heritage of the Islamic world. Its library has a large collection of manuscripts, rare books, magazines and documents from the Islamic world, especially in Arabic, Ottoman and Persian. IRCICA also produces important publications and catalogs on calligraphy, miniature and book arts in the Ottoman geography. The center, which is consulted by academics at an international level, provides access to unique resources for Ottoman and Islamic history.
