King Abdul-Aziz Al Saoud Foundation for Islamic Studies and Human Sciences

The King Abdulaziz Al Saoud Foundation for Islamic Sciences and Humanities (French: Fondation du Roi Abdul-Aziz Al Saoud pour les Études Islamiques et les Sciences Humaines) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1985 and headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco. This foundation, financed by Saudi Arabia, is notable for being located in Morocco and is considered one of the largest and most important library and documentation centers in the Maghreb (Northwest Africa) region. Its main purpose is to preserve the Arab-Islamic heritage and to promote research in the humanities and social sciences related to the Islamic world. Its library is known for its massive collection, which includes hundreds of thousands of books, periodicals, and especially tens of thousands of manuscripts, both in original and in microfilm/digital copy form.
