Bibliotecas UMA - Universidad de Málaga
The University of Málaga Library (Biblioteca de la Universidad de Málaga) is a comprehensive library system consisting of 14 service points spread across different campuses (Teatinos and El Ejido) that meet the teaching, learning and research needs of the university in the Andalusia region of Spain. The center of the system is the General Library, which houses extensive collections and study areas. In addition to its modern collection of more than 1 million monographs, the library network is notable for its valuable "Historical Fund" (Fondo Antiguo), which houses rare books, manuscripts and maps, especially those dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Combining traditional librarianship services with modern technologies, the institution also manages RIUMA (Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Málaga), an open-access institutional archive that collects and preserves the university's scientific production and increases its international visibility.
