Notes	Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon the Master of Creation, Muhammad, his family and all his companions. Know that morphology in language means change, and in industry: transforming a single original into different examples with intended meanings that cannot be achieved without it. Then the verb: either threefold or fourfold, and each one of them: either abstract or additional in it, and each one of them: either sound or not sound. By salim, we mean: those whose original letters corresponding to the fa, ain, and lām have been preserved, such as the vowels, hamza, and weak letters. As for the abstract triliteral: if its past participle is an open-ended verb, then its present tense is to do or to do by adding or breaking the eye, such as: victory to give victory, and strike to hit. The letter “yāmā” comes with fatḥān al-ayn, even if the letter “ayn” for his verb or “lamā” is one of the letters of the throat, which are: hamza, ha, ayn, ha, ghān, and kha, such as: he asks, he asks, he prevents, and he refuses, he is shahd. If it is based on a verb with a broken eye: its present tense is verb with the eye open, such as: he knew, he knew, except for an exception, such as: he calculated and its sisters. And if it is on a verb with a closed eye: then its present participle is done with a closed eye, like: Hassan improves.... And from what is in addition to the three: such as the active participle, such as the entrance and the maqam, and if there is a lot of something in the place, it is said: “mufā’at” from the abstract triple, so it is said: “land masbā’a”, “masadā’ah”, “mdhaḥbāh”, “mabtḥa”, and “mukṭaḥa”. As for the name of the instrument: it is what the subject uses to treat the object so that the effect reaches it, so it comes in the form of: a mufa'il, a mufa'alah, and a mufa'il, such as a mahalab, a sweeper, a key, and a strainer, and they said: Marqa'ah according to this, and whoever opened the mim wanted the place. And what is odd: anointed, masat, madaq, sieve, kohl, and maharadah, combined with meem and ayn, and it came: maddaq and pestle according to analogy. Notice of the construction of the murrah from the abstract triple noun: It is on the verb with the fatḥah, so it says: I struck a blow, and I rose up. Among the things that are added to the three with the addition of a “ha” are: such as “giving” and “initialah”, except for what contains a feminine “tā” in both of them, so describing it as one is like your saying: His mercy is one mercy, and His rolling is one rolling. Building the form and the verb by breaking the type of the verb, you say: It is good taste and sitting, and God knows best.
