Turkish neskhi and divani, copied by el-Hağğ Mousa el-Vaki الوقى, son of el-Hağğ Hasan el-ʿAbbassi el-Misri, and dated, for the first work from the fourth day of the month of Safar in the year 1127 AH (February 9, 1715), for the third, from the eighth day of month of Rabiʿ first of the year 1128 of the hegira (February 2, 1716). The composition of this work, according to a note on folio 38 verso, was completed in the first decade of the month of Rabiʿ first of the year 1076 of the hegira (11-20 September 1665); a copy is described under number 112 of the Old collection; the copy is followed (folio 40 verso) of the منشآت آلى افندى, collection, by Âli Efendi, of letters in Turkish, one of them being written in Persian, the vast majority of which deal with private affairs, and where we note the names of the raïs el-kouttab ʿAbd Allah Efendi, who commented on the Mesnevi (folios 57 recto, 59 recto), of sheikh el-Islam ʿAbd er-Rahman Efendi (folio 61 recto), of the poet Nafʿi (folios 62 recto, 63 recto). This collection of letters from Ali Efendi is followed (folio 89 recto) by another similar pamphlet, in which letters of request, intercession, congratulations, and in general all kinds of letters of a private nature are read, formulas to be used to write to the valid sultana and the favorite, initial and final formulas; some of the pieces in this donkey guide bear names known in Ottoman history; it is perhaps also due to Âli Efendi. Turkish binding, in brown leather.
