It is formally said in a note, on folio 354 recto, which is in the hand of Salih ibn Ǧelal, that the work contained in this manuscript is the translation of the Persian Darab name, that Salih ibn Ǧelal began writing it on the first day of the month of Shavval in the year 944 AH (March 3, 1538), and that he finished it in the last decade of the month of Moharrem of the year 945 (June 19-28, 1538). Salih ibn Ǧelal (d. 973 AH = 1565-1566) is the author of a description of Egypt. A title written on the front of the first leaf wrongly says that this book contains the translation of the Book of Kings of Firdausi, by Ǧevri Čelebi.. Turkish cardboard.
