An incomplete copy of the latest one. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

“Chapter on the Prophet’s command, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to be calm when spreading out, and his pointing at them with the whip. Saeed bin Abi Maryam told us.... Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, told me that he was pushed back with the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.... O people, you must be calm, for righteousness does not mean being humble. Hurry.” ... “Chapter The Antichrist will not enter Medina. Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah told us... on the authority of Abu Bakra, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet... He said, “The terror of the Antichrist will not enter Medina on that day.” It will have seven doors. On every door there are two angels. Ismail told us... on the authority of Abu Hurairah...

وقَفَ وحبس وسبل وتصدَّق العبدُ الفقيرُ إلى اللهِ تعالى صرغتمش جميعَ الجزءِ المباركِ على المشتغلينَ بالعلمِ الشريف، وعلى المقيمِين بالمدرسةِ الحنفيةِ المجاورةِ لجامعِ طولونَ لينتفعوا بذلك في الاشتغال والكتابة منه ليلا ونهارا بحيث لَا يُخرجُ منَ المدرسةِ المذكورةِ ولا يباع ولَا يُرهنُ ولَا يُوهبُ ولَا يُبدَّلُ ولَا يُغيَّرُ، وقفًا صحيحًا شَرعيَّا قصد الواقفِ بهذا الوقفِ ابتغاءَ وجهِ اللهِ العظيمِ، تقبَّلَ اللهُ منه، {فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ} وهو حسبنا ونعم الوكيل.
