This research focuses on the problems experienced by Syrian students studying in these schools in religious education classes, in line with the opinions of religious teachers working in imam-hatip high schools. In addition, within the scope of the research, religious lesson teachers' suggestions for solutions to the problems experienced in religion lessons are also presented. In this research, designed with a phenomenological pattern, one of the qualitative research methods, a mixed sampling approach was used by employing criterion and snowball sampling methods simultaneously. The study group of this research is 43 religion teachers working in 17 imam-hatip high schools in Altındağ, Mamak, Sincan, Çankaya, Yenimahalle and Etimesgut districts of Ankara. According to the research results; In addition to the problems experienced in language, communication, inside and outside school, there are problems identified under the themes of social exclusion and prejudices. The most important sources of problems for teachers are that Syrian students do not know Turkish and cannot communicate with others. In order to solve these problems, teachers offered various suggestions for language education, empathy education and adaptation education, and opening private schools for Syrians. The fact that it is a study focusing on the relevant problem in the religious education literature and that it constitutes an important data source for future studies increases the importance of the research.
