Notes
In the educational sciences literature, it is stated that the student is passively positioned in the face of "legitimate knowledge". The aim of this study is to determine student strategies against the legitimate knowledge of the curriculum with the help of the concept of "relationship with knowledge", which expresses the relationship with knowledge and knowledge products. The research is a case study in the survey type. The study group consists of thirty people who studied in the Turkish education system and are university graduates. The interview form developed as a data collection tool was composed of questions aimed at understanding students' personal information and their relationships with information. Four themes were identified in the study: "unquestioning knowledge, strategies against official knowledge, knowledge as capital, and changing attitudes depending on the teacher and the course". Accordingly, students established relationships with knowledge within the framework of their own social world. Students exhibited an accepting, knowledge-accumulating, rejecting and selective attitude towards the legitimate knowledge of the curriculum.
