Notes
Niyâzî-i Mısrî's work in which he talks about the characteristics of the twelve spheres and the angels responsible for these spheres. This small treatise written in Arabic is also known as Devre-i Arşiyye. The work consists of an introduction, four chapters and an epilogue. In the first chapter, the characteristics of the twelve spheres and the angels responsible for these spheres are mentioned. In the second part, creation, the resurrection of corpses and the apocalypse are briefly explained. At the end of the episode, Hz. A hadith of the Prophet is included. In the third chapter, the coming of Mahdi, the emergence of the Antichrist, Hz. Signs of the apocalypse such as the descent of Jesus, the emergence of Gog and Magog, the emergence of Dabbetülarz, and the sun rising from the west are discussed through interpretation. The fourth part is about the apocalypse with the classifications of apocalypse, doomsday, and apocalypse. There are many manuscript copies of the work. Some of them are available in the Suleymaniye Manuscripts Library and the IBB Ataturk Library. Gölpınarlı states that he has a manuscript of ed-Devretü'l-Arşiyye, that the treatise was compiled in Dhul-Hijjah 1068/1658 and that Niyâzî-i Mısrî gave importance to this work (Gölpınarlı 1972: 193). There is an Ottoman translation of the work made by Mehmed Nurullah. The first copy of a Turkish translation whose translator is unknown was from the copy in Muallim Vahyi Ölmez, and the second copy was made by Hasan Lâmiî Yener in 1954 upon the request of Hüsnü Uluğ (Niyâzî-i Mısrî 1954: 1-11, Dülger 1998: 13). Baha Doğramacı states that the work was translated into Turkish by Gallipoli Captain Receb Ferdi bin Mehmed Ali, the teacher of Mekteb-i Harbiye-yi Şahane Kitabet-i Militaryye (Doğramacı 1988: 89). However, this work could not be found. For the biography of the author, see. "Niyâzî-i Mısrî".Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
