Notes
Tafsir Al-Jalalayn or the Book of Al-Jalalayn in the interpretation of the Great Qur’an, which are Jalal al-Din al-Mahli and Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti. Its beginning is: Praise be to God, praise that is consistent with His blessings, and it is from the beginning of Surat al-Baqarah to the end of Surat al-Isra, then al-Suyuti completed it from that in the year 871 AH. There is another copy of it in the catalog of manuscripts of the Al-Jawhariya Library, prepared by: Dr. Mahmoud Atallah (see p. 19) Nablus, An-Najah National University, Center for Documentation, Manuscripts and Publishing, 1st edition, 1990 AD.
Authors’ translation: Al-Mahli, Jalal al-Din is a fundamentalist and interpreter. - Al-Suyuti, Jalal al-Din (849 - 911 AH) - (1445 - 1505 AD) Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr bin Muhammad bin Sabiq al-Din al-Khudayri al-Suyuti Jalal al-Din, an imam, memorizer, historian and writer, authored about 600 works, including the Great Book and the Small Treatise. He grew up in Cairo as an orphan whose father died when he was five years old, and when he reached forty, he isolated himself from the people and isolated himself in a kindergarten. The ruler on the Nile isolated himself from all of his companions, as if he did not know any of them. He wrote most of his books, sent him gifts and returned them, and remained in that state until he died. I read in the manuscript of the book (Al-Manh Al-Badiyya): “He was called the son of books, because his father asked his mother to bring him a book, and she went into labor, so she gave birth to him while she was among the books.”
Sample Text
After the basmalah, praise be to God, a praise that is sufficient for His blessings, and sufficient to reward more... This is what is intensified by those who wish to complete the interpretation of the Noble Qur’an, which was written by the imam, scholar and investigator Jalal al-Din Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Mahli al-Shafi’i, may God Almighty have mercy on him and complete what he missed. It is from the beginning of Surat al-Baqarah to the end of Surat al-Isra, and by completing it in its style of mentioning what is understood by the word of God Almighty, relying on the most likely sayings, and parsing what is said. He needs it, and a warning about the various well-known readings with a pleasant face and brief expression
