De Materia Medicaby Dioscorides'in bir çevirisinden alınan bu sahne, şehir yaşamını tasvir etmek için cesur renkler ve simetrik kompozisyonlar kullanan Bağdat illüstrasyon okulunun tipik bir örneğidir. Tabloyu altı bölüme ayırmak için mimari bir yapının kullanılması, yulaf ezmesi renkli kağıdın görünür kalması gibi dönemin tipik bir örneğidir. Eserin 5. cilt 9. bölümünde yer alan bu folyoda, bir eczacının kazanda bal bazlı bir ilaç hazırlarken, üst katta bir asistanın bunu kavanozlara dağıtması tasvir edilmektedir.
