این صحنه از ترجمه De Materia Medicaby Dioscorides نمونه ای از مکتب تصویرگری بغداد است که از رنگ های جسورانه و ترکیب بندی های متقارن برای به تصویر کشیدن زندگی شهری استفاده می کرد. استفاده از یک ساختار معماری برای تقسیم نقاشی به شش بخش، نمونهای از این دوره است، همانطور که کاغذ جو دوسر رنگی قابل مشاهده است. این برگه، که از جلد 5، فصل 9 اثر می آید، داروساز را در حال آماده کردن دارویی مبتنی بر عسل در دیگ در حالی که دستیار در طبقه بالا آن را در شیشه ها توزیع می کند، به تصویر می کشد.
