هذا المشهد من ترجمة دي ماتيريا ميديكابي ديوسقوريدس هو مشهد نموذجي لمدرسة بغداد للرسوم التوضيحية، التي استخدمت الألوان الجريئة والتركيبات المتناسقة لتصوير الحياة الحضرية. يعد استخدام البنية المعمارية لتقسيم اللوحة إلى ستة أقسام أمرًا معتادًا في تلك الفترة، كما هو الحال بالنسبة لحقيقة أن الورق الملون بدقيق الشوفان لا يزال مرئيًا. هذه الصحيفة، التي تأتي من المجلد 5، الفصل 9 من العمل، تصور صيدليًا يقوم بإعداد دواء يحتوي على العسل في مرجل بينما يقوم مساعد في الطابق العلوي بتوزيعه في الجرار.
