Notlar	Öz: İslâm düşünce tarihi boyunca Ye’cûc ve Me’cûc ile ilgili isabetliolmayan görüşler Müslümanların kafasını karıştırmış, onları sağlıklıdeğerlendirme yapma imkânından mahrum bırakmış, âyet ve hadislerin yanlışyorumlanmasına neden olmuş ve nihayet doğru olmayan bir Ye’cûc ve Me’cûcanlayışı ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu nedenledir ki makalenin gayesi; temel hadiskaynaklarında geçen ve “Ye’cûc ve Me’cûc’un birtakım özelliklerinden bahseden”rivayetleri senet ve metin yönünden tahlil etmek ve konuyla ilgili daha doğrubakış açılarının geliştirilmesine katkı sağlamaktır.Araştırmalarımız neticesinde Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’innazil olduğu dönemde Ye’cûc ve Me’cûc kelimesinin “isim” değil, “sıfat” olarakkullanıldığı; Enbiyâ sûresi 96. âyette geçen Ye’cûc ve Me’cûc ile kastedilenlerin“ikinci sûrun üfürülmesiyle birlikte diriltilen ve mahşer meydanına doğru selgibi akıp giden günahkâr, zalim, kâfir, münafık ve müşrikler topluluğu” olduğu;Kehf sûresi 94. âyette geçen Ye’cûc ve Me’cûc ile kastedilenlerin ise“Zülkarneyn’in yaşadığı dönemde dünyada bulunan, etraflarına büyük zararlarveren; işgalci, sömürgeci ve bozguncu insanlar topluluğu” olduğu sonucunaulaşılmıştır. Bir başka ifadeyle her iki âyette de Ye’cûc ve Me’cûc ile“belirli bir ırk veya kavim” değil, tam tersine “muhtelif ırk ve renklerdekibütün zalim, kâfir, müşrik, mücrim, münafık, fâsık ve müfsitler topluluğu”kastedilmiştir.A Study ofthe Narratives About Some Characteristics of the Gog and MagogAbstract: Throughout the history of Islamic thought, incorrect ideas about Gog andMagog have confused Muslims, deprived them of the ability to make healthyassessments, caused misinterpretation of verses and hadiths and finallyrevealed a not-right understanding of Gog and Magog. For this reason, thearticle's goal is to analyze narratives about some characteristic of Gog andMagog in basic hadith sources in terms of sened and texts and to contribute tothe development of more accurate views.As a result ofthe research, it has been concluded that the word of Gog and Magog was used asan adjective not a name in the period of the revelation of the Holy Qur’an thatGog and Magog who are considered in Enbiya Sûrah 96th verse are the sinners,the cruel, the unbeliever, the hypocrites and the polytheists who are raisedwith the second blowing of the sûr and flow like floods toward resurrection andjudgment square in the Judgment Day, that Gog and Magog who are considered inthe Sûrah al-Kahf 94th verse as groups of invaders, colonists and defeatist whovandalized people and caused great damage to their surroundings in the worldwhen Dhul-Qarnayn lived. In other words, it has been meant that Gog and Magogconsidered in both two verses not as a specific race or tribe but on thecontrary, as a group of cruel, infidel, polytheists, hypocrites, sinners anddespots from various races and colours.
