Abstract: Throughout the history of Islamic thought, inaccurate views about Gog and Magog have confused Muslims, deprived them of the opportunity to make healthy evaluations, caused misinterpretation of verses and hadiths, and finally revealed an incorrect understanding of Gog and Magog. For this reason, the purpose of the article is; To analyze the narrations in the basic hadith sources that "mention some of the characteristics of Gog and Magog" in terms of document and text and to contribute to the development of more accurate perspectives on the subject. As a result of our research, it has been determined that the words Gog and Magog were used as "adjectives", not "nouns", during the period when the Holy Quran was revealed; What is meant by Gog and Magog mentioned in the 96th verse of the Anbiyâ Surah is "the community of sinners, oppressors, infidels, hypocrites and polytheists who were resurrected with the blowing of the second trumpet and flowed like a flood towards the place of judgment"; It has been concluded that what is meant by Magog is "the group of invaders, colonialists and subversive people who were in the world during the time when Dhul-Qarnayn lived and caused great harm to those around them." In other words, in both verses, what is meant by Gog and Magog is not "a specific race or tribe", but on the contrary, "the community of all cruel, infidels, polytheists, criminals, hypocrites, transgressors and corruptors of various races and colors".
