Colorful depiction of Noah's Ark based on an episode from a popular Islamic holy legend based on Quran verses 37 - 48 from the 11th Sura (al-Hūd). Moses and his wife, his three sons, three other relatives and many animals are on a ship sailing in the sea in light swells, which gives the impression of a large boat. The ship has only one mast with a large white sail. A peacock sits on a platform attached to the mast. A chimpanzee moves at the very front of the bow. Near the bow is a kiosk or pavilion containing four bearded men and a veiled woman. The men all wear white turbans on their heads. It is not clear which person Noah represents. The kiosk's curved roof ends in a hexagonal lantern on which a cartwheeling peacock sits. A younger man stands on a landing outside the pavilion and pulls with his right hand on a line (sheet) that runs over a pulley attached to the yard. Another pulley is at the other end of the yard. On the deck between the pavilion and the stern there are many animals, one of each species, and two bearded men in turbans. From right to left you can see: lizard (outside the railing), snake, horse, cattle, elephant, camel with rooster on its back, donkey with stork on its back, ostrich, rhinoceros, lion with bird on its head, goat, hyena with turkey on its back, hare. Five large and small birds sit on the roof of the pavilion. A yellow pennant with the inscription "Lâ ilâha ila 'llâh" (There is no god but GOD) flies from the red and white striped flagpole next to the pavilion. A hoopoe sits on its top. A seagull and a duck (?) fly in the light blue sky. The brownish-yellow hull is decorated with all sorts of decorations and the railing is painted red.
