Notes This work is a partial translation of the 1999 work: The epic of Gilgamesh : the Babylonian epic poem and other texts in Akkadian and Sumerian, translated and with an introduction by Andrew George (published: New York : Barnes & Noble). This work provides a complete translation of the Introduction, and Chapter 1 (The Standard version of the Babylonian Gilgamesh Epic: 'He who saw the deep') of George's work, but provides only translations of George's introductions/synopses of the Akkadian and Sumerian texts that accompanied the translated texts in Chapters 2-5 of the 1999 English edition. A translation of the Glossary of proper nouns from George's work is also included, and a work entitled: La búsqueda de la inmortalidad, by Jordi Balló and Xavier Pérez is added., Includes bibliographical references..
