This volume contains the ترجمۀ حدیث اربعین, The translation into Osmanli Turkish of forty traditions authentically attributed to Mohammed, in two verses (folio 3 verso); this pamphlet is preceded by a short preface in prose, in which Nabi recalls the memory of Ğami's ʿArbaʿin hadis; the تحفة الحرمین (folio 8 verso), journal of the author's journey to Mecca and Medina, in 1089 AH (1679), composed in imitation of Khaghani's Tohfet el-ʿIrakeïn, in prose and verse; this work was finished in 1092 AH (1681); there we find the description of the road which passes through Konia, Roha, Aleppo, Damascus, Jerusalem and Cairo; some kaside and pieces in mesnevis, in praise of the Prophet (folio 64 verso); the خیر اباد, treatise in mesnevis verse on ethics and morality (folio 69 verso), where the name of the author is indicated in an initial chapter which serves as an introduction (folio 70 verso); this work is written in imitation of Nizami's Makhzen el-esrar, and we find there, after the story of the Ascension of Mohammed, the praises of the grand vizier Mohammed Pasha (folio 78 recto), then those of Sultan Ahmed III, son of Mohammed IV (1115-1143 AH = 1703-1730) [folio 78 verso]; the title and the reasons which prompted Yousouf Nabi to write the Khaïrâbad are given in a chapter which begins on folio 79 verso; this book, according to a chronogram which reads on folio 110 verso: اثر مبارك اولسون, was finished in the year 1117 of the hegira (1705); the خيريّه, or خير نامه, poem in Mesnevis, containing moral principles and advice on ethics, which Yousouf Nabi addressed to his son, Aboul-Khaïr Mohammed Čelebi, aged eight, when he himself had reached his fifty-second year; the author declares, in the introduction, that after having spent thirty years in official positions, both in Constantinople and in Adrianople, he retired to Aleppo, where he wrote this book (folio 111 verso); Yousouf Nabi, in the chapter where he indicates the reasons which led him to write it, gives it the name نصيحت نامه (folio 113 recto); theتاريخ قامینچه, otherwise named Taʿrikh-i vakaʿi-i Kaminče and Feth name-i Kaminče (folio 144 recto), which is an account of the capture of Kaminieč, in Podolia, by the grand vizier Ahmed Kupruli, in the year 1083 A.H.
