Other file(s) linked to this institution. Original letter, with the sultan's gold monogram, addressed to Pierre Lando, doge of Venice. It is accompanied by a translation into Provençal. It is connected following a work entitled: Petri Kirstenii grammatices arabicae libri III. Breslau, 1608. At the beginning of the same volume are inserted fifteen leaves containing letters and pieces in Arabic, Turkish and French, in particular an Arabic inscription engraved around the timpani which were in the Saint-Paul church, in Narbonne. It is accompanied by a letter in French, signed: “Honoré Suffin”, addressed to M. de Callas, whose eldest son Peiresc was then in Padua. The following leaves contain an Arabic inscription and a nine-line piece in Samaritan characters: “Josephus Scaliger ad Joan. Vincent. Pinellum", etc..
