We find in this work, which was written in the middle of the 16th century, a choice of the most difficult terms of Eastern Turkish, or čaghataï, as it was spoken in Transoxiana, and taken both from the poems of ʿAli Shir and from the works of other rhymers. The text of this copy, although it is almost contemporary with the writing of the original, is more abridged than that of the copy described under No. 563 of the Supplement, and many examples in verse have been omitted.. Dictionary intended mainly to facilitate the reading of the works of Mir ʿAli Shir Nevaï, entitled in certain copies اللغات النوائيّة و الاستشهادات الجغتائيّة, or ,لغت ابوشقه of the word aboushka with which it begins.
