Notes	A complete copy, written in black ink. The names of the surahs of the Holy Qur’an and the lines of caution were written above the interpreted verses in red ink. Above the introduction page is a gilded decoration in the form of the dome of a mosque. The introduction page and the next page are lined with gold, and the rest of the pages are lined with red ink. Some of the margins have comments and corrections. At the beginning of the copy appears a pause, which reads as follows: “This is one of the books of the endowment in God’s noble and sacred country by our Lord.” The Grand Sultan and the Grand Khan, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Sultan Abdul Majeed Khan bin Sultan Al-Ghazi Mahmoud Khan.” Below the registration appears a signature and seal of each of Muhammad Raif, the governor of Jeddah and the Sheikh of the Holy Mosque, and Mustafa Aburi, the judge in Mecca, in addition to the presence of another unclear seal inside which reads the phrase “On the side of the Charitable Directorate of Mecca, 1271.” And on the title page appears an ownership record in the name of Fathallah bin Yusuf Al-Shafi’i Al-Qadiri in the year 1075 AH, and another ownership record in the name of Ahmed Jamil Al-Husseini Al-Alawi Al-Azmiri, dated 1189 AH, in addition to a record of reading and looking at the copy in the name of Abdul Latif bin Abdul Ghani. The copyist indicated at the end of the copy that he had copied it from an uncorrected copy, and the papers were affected by extreme humidity, which caused the writing to become unclear in some places.
