The copy began with a passage from the Book of Tawheed with the second hadith in the chapter on asking the names of God Almighty and seeking refuge in them, and ended with the second hadith in the chapter on reading the immoral and hypocritical people and their voices and their recitation, not going beyond their throats, on paper No. (29), then it happened and began with a different line with the hadith of horses for three chapters at the end of the Book of Virtues after the chapter on asking the polytheists to show them a sign, so he showed them the splitting of the moon until he reached the first hadith in the chapter on the story of the pledge of allegiance and agreement... | The copy began with an excerpt from the Book of Tawheed with the second hadith in the chapter on asking about the names of God Almighty and seeking refuge in them and ended with the second hadith in the chapter on reading the immoral and hypocritical people and their voices and their recitation, not going beyond their throats, on paper No. (29). Then it happened and began with a different line with the hadith on horses for three chapters at the end of the Book of Virtues after the chapter on asking the polytheists to show them a sign, so he showed them the splitting of the moon until he reached the first hadith in the chapter on the story of the pledge of allegiance and agreement on Othman bin Affan, which contains the killing of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with them both, from the book of the Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in paper (39). He then began talking about the virtues of the Companions outside the book of Sahih until the end of the book. In paper (20) he wrote the part completed and followed in the next by the chapter {And God spoke to Moses in full speech}. Then he mentioned the title of the part that follows it and supplemented it with the number of the forty-eighth part of the authentic Musnad, while the title of the beginning of the copy is the twenty-fourth part of the division. Sixty parts. It was written on the title page: An index of what is in this honorable part, which is from the twelfth chapters of the Book of Tawhid to fifty-five chapters, so what is in this honorable part is (44) chapters from the beginning of the Book of Tawheed. | Date of death of the copyist: Alive in the seventh century AH. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
