Corrected version. At the end of it, he stated that the copy of the hadiths of Al-Bukhari, as narrated by Abu Al-Waqq on the authority of Al-Dudi on the authority of Al-Hami, may God be pleased with them, is 7,245 hadiths. The copy, in approximately the first third of it, has a major defect in the arrangement of the pages, as you find that the side is not followed by the side opposite it, but rather is followed by another. There is also a defect in adjusting the page numbers, as they are repeated in many of them for different pages. The division of the parts has a defect, as on page [141/A] he mentioned on the title page that this is the thirteenth part and concluded it at “the chapter on strife that ripples like the waves of the sea,” while the copy ended with his mentioning at the end of the tenth part at the end of the Sahih. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | From the beginning of the chapter on burning houses and palm trees to the end of the Sahih.
