In recent years, with the access to new information and technologies, there have been changes in the methods and techniques used in the field of education and training, and studies on how to provide teaching in the most effective way in the classroom have increased. It is seen that these increasing studies are concentrated in the field of instructional design. One of the models developed to include technology and mass media into the teaching environment, taking into account the needs of the student in planning and conducting the lesson, is the ASSURE model. The aim of this study is to contribute to the active use of the ASSURE model, which is widely used in the world, in Religious Culture and Ethics (DKAB) courses in Turkey, and to contribute to the knowledge, understanding and application of the model. In order to achieve this aim, firstly, information about the logic, principles and technique of the model was given through the document analysis method, and then the subjects "Faith in God" and "Islam and Science", which are the first subjects of the first units of the 5th grade and 12th grade DKAB curriculum, were given as sample course designs. This model, which aims to increase efficiency by determining the characteristics of learners and selecting and using methods, media and materials suitable for the desired teaching goals, will bring a new perspective to the field and efficiency in service. In this study, the applicability of the ASSURE model, which emphasizes the greater use of technology in education and training, to the DKAB course has been demonstrated, and it has been concluded that its use in religious education and teaching will contribute to the teacher being active before and during the lesson, and to the students gaining ease and advantage in learning.
