The main purpose of this research is to try to reveal the change that changing and transforming living conditions in various aspects have brought about in the family perception of young people who have ties to any religious group and define themselves as religious. Therefore, the religiosity of the participants was not tested, it was only aimed to reveal their ideas about marriage and family. Considering the purpose, participants who grew up or had a relationship with any religious group (or had a connection with a religious group) and who accepted that they had a religious identity were included in the study. In this context, it was tried to determine what kind of marriage and spouse they wanted, what kind of a family they wanted to establish, considering their religiosity, and the results obtained were discussed from various sociological perspectives, taking into account some of the acceptances of the Islamic religion. The sample of the research consists of a total of 250 young people, 125 women and 125 men, between the ages of 17-29, who have contact with any religious group in Afyonkarahisar Province and define themselves as religious. The surveys prepared by the researcher were delivered to the participants and the results were analyzed and used scientifically. As a result of the analysis; It has been determined that the majority of participants who define themselves as religious are stuck in the triangle of religion-tradition and modernity. The majority of the participants in the research are university students. Therefore, every new environment that young people participate in at universities brings with it a change in their feelings, thoughts and behaviors. The university environment provides young people with the opportunity to socialize in a more comprehensive and versatile environment. Every university student has a certain habitus and uses his social, cultural, economic and symbolic capital in every field he participates in. However, young people can enter into a conflict with the capital they have and question it according to the rules of the field (game) they enter. Moreover, he can try to live a life like everyone else, even risking compromising his capital. It can be said that most of the participants in our study are similar to the youth type mentioned in the book "Generation M New Muslim Youth" written by Janmohammed (2018). Generation M mentioned in the book is a youth who listens to pop music, dances, wears torn trousers, prays and fasts. It is a youth that lives both western culture (especially in clothing) and its own Islamic values. In other words, it bears traces from both cultures. As a result of the findings obtained in the research, it would not be wrong to say that the majority of the participants in the research have evolved towards Generation M. For example, as a result of the data obtained from the study, it was determined that 6.0% of the participants considered homosexual marriages normal. The most striking result obtained was the answers we received to the question we asked, "What do you think about same-sex marriages?" 85.6% (107) of the female participants answered this question as "I do not think it is right", 9.6% (12) said "it should be respected", 4.0% (5) said "I have no opinion", and 0.8% (1) answered "other". On the other hand, 92.0% (115) of the male participants answered "I do not find it right", 2.4% (3) said "it should be respected", 2.4% (3) said "I have no opinion", and 3.2% (4) said "other". Islam's view on the issue of homosexuality is unquestionably negative. However, the fact that 6% of young people who define themselves as religious respect same-sex marriage is an issue that needs to be thought about and researched. The aim of this study is to reveal that there is a change and the resulting mixed and new identity types, rather than criticizing Generation M or the interviewed segment. In other words, it is aimed to determine the situation of the case. The overall data obtained from the research show that the family institution maintains its importance. The results obtained from the research show that the desire to establish a family life and the excitement of becoming a parent have not been completely lost. Of the participants who stay away from marriage, 48.0% state that they are not working, 38.0% state that they are mostly students and that they are not keen on getting married and starting a family for such reasons. It is possible to say that especially young people who stay away from marriage because they do not have economic independence may change their minds when these and similar problems are solved. In addition, the fact that the perception and importance of the family institution is in a significant transformation should not be ignored.
