This work deals with the situation of German teaching during studies at state universities in Egypt and with the role of the President's initiative to integrate the subject of German into the curricula of the faculties of engineering and medicine. Particular attention is paid to the challenges in implementing and the possibilities of innovative teacher training. The focus is particularly on the use of Dhoch3. The rapid increase in the number of German learners in Egypt and the government initiative to integrate German lessons during studies have highlighted the need for work-related language skills for students who want to pursue an academic career or professional opportunities in Germany. This work is based on the module "Dhoch3: Career-oriented German language teaching", which specifically takes into account the special requirements of professional language use contexts and supports university lecturers in designing German lessons accordingly. The aim of teacher training is to prepare qualified university teachers for effective and professionally oriented teaching. A structured training concept extends over eight weeks and combines a 40-hour classroom phase with theoretical basics and practice-oriented exercises. A 40-hour accompanying online self-study phase enables participants to deepen what they have learned and apply it practically. The work emphasizes the relevance and feasibility of this teacher training and underlines the importance of targeted, job-oriented German lessons for students at Egyptian universities. The integration of Dhoch3 into further training represents a groundbreaking contribution to expanding the students' professional perspectives and promoting their integration into the German labor market.
