Notes In the article, it was investigated whether Fazil Irevani, who is presented as the II Sheikhulislam of the Caucasian Muslims Administration, is in this position. In the article, the heads of the Mohammedan clergy in the center of Tiflis between 1823 and 1873 were analyzed with the camera images and calendars of that period, as well as with articles written about that time. In order to create a clear idea for the reader, the topic was started with information about the essence of the title "sheikh-e-Islam", its history, and its use in our religious and political geography. After Tsarist Russia invaded the Khanate of Iravan, there was a similarity between Sheikhulislam Akhund Molla Muhammad, who lived in Iravan, and Molla Muhammad Fazil Iravani, who settled in Najaf. The author of the book "Islam and Sheikhul-Islams in the Caucasus" had the idea that they are the same person, and as a result, presented him as the Second Sheikhul-Islam of the Caucasian Muslims. From this point of view, the article gives brief information about Fazil Iravani's life and looks at his activities. As for Sheikhulislam Akhund Molla Muhammad, who lived in Yerevan, his date of birth was determined to be 1771, based on camera images. The reasons for the name "Sheikhulislam" have been investigated, and strong possibilities have been revealed that during the Qajar rule, the Iravan khanate had the official position of Sheikhulislam appointed by the khan. Due to his reputation among the people and his spiritual respect, he was accepted as a sheikh-ul-Islam in Tsarist Russia, and he continued to serve as the head of the Qadawat and Sharia court. The article shows that they are completely different in many ways - their patronymics, dates of birth and death, places of education, the place where they are buried, the number and names of their children. It was also discovered that the names of different people were mentioned in Tiflis as the head of the Muslims during the period when he was claimed to be Sheikhul-Islam. It has become clear that there are specific facts and information related to each of these two people. In the above-mentioned book, those data were combined, a single image of a person was created, and all facts and information were applied to that person.
