Notes This study focuses on the ontological source of the recitation style, which is a way of reading the text of the Qur'an. Whether the style of recitation, which is a special way of reading the Quran, is pure in origin, that is, directly based on Allah (swt), or whether this style was later adopted by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). It is questioned whether it was created by the Prophet (pbuh) or later Muslims. In this questioning, first, what is meant by the style of recitation is briefly explained within the framework of the elements of recitation. While examining the subject, the central arguments are the relationship between recitation and the revelation of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad. It is the Prophet's (pbuh) reading of the Quran. In addition to these two basic arguments, some other justifications and historical facts that will serve as a source for our claim have also been taken into consideration. In this context, the issue has been tried to be explained based on various evidence such as its harmony with the textual features of the Quran, the effect of the Quran read in this style on the listeners, and the fact that words or texts other than the Quran are not read in this way. As a result, when it is accepted that the style of recitation is unique in terms of source, the importance of reading with the style of recitation will be revealed. This study focuses on the ontological source of the style of tilawat as a way of reciting the Qur’anic text. This study examines whether the style of reciting the Qur'an, which is a special way of reading the Qur'an, is munazzal in terms of its source, that is, whether it is directly attributed to Allah (swt), or whether this style was created later by the Prophet (pbuh) or later Muslims. In this analysis, first of all, what is meant by the style of the tilawat is briefly presented within the framework of the elements of the tilawat. The central arguments in examining the issue are the relationship between tilawat and the nature of the revelation of the Qur'an and the Prophet's (pbuh) tilawat of the Qur'an. In addition to these two main arguments, a number of other reasons and historical facts have also been taken into account. In this context, an attempt is made to explain the issue on the basis of various evidence, such as its compatibility with the textual features of the Qur'an, the effect of the Qur'an recited in this style on the listeners, and the fact that words or texts other than the Qur'an should not be recited in this way. As a result, when it is assumed that the style of recitation is unique in terms of its source, the importance of recitation with a style becomes evident..
