In Şanlıurfa, located in the southeast of Turkey, Arabic, Kurdish and Zazaki are also spoken in addition to Turkish. Arabic spoken in Şanlıurfa is a dialect classified in the Bedouin dialect group and has some unique features. This dialect, which has been directly related to Turkish for a long time and has become a weak language against the dominant Turkish language, has borrowed many words and suffixes from Turkish. One of the striking points in Şanlıurfa Arabic is that some of the Turkish words are taken not directly, but by transferring them to Arabic verb and noun forms. Therefore, the borrowed words appear in past-tense verb form or derived noun form. This study will try to reveal to what extent the dialect is influenced by Turkish and to what extent it remains faithful to the patterns of the Arabic language in borrowing words. In the study, the personal archive obtained from the field work was used, and the words were classified by examining which pattern they fit into. This study is of great importance in terms of revealing the structure of the Arabic dialect in the region, which has been in direct interaction with Turkish for hundreds of years. In Şanlıurfa, located in the southeast of Turkey, besides Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish and Zazaki are also spoken. This Arabic is a dialect that is classified in the group of Bedouin dialects and shows some unique features. This dialect, which has been directly interaction to Turkish for a long time and has fallen into a weak language position against the dominant Turkish language, has borrowed many words and affixes from Turkish. In some dialects spoken in the Arab world, Turkish words are encountered in the spoken language with the influence of the Ottoman dominance. One of the remarkable issues in Şanlıurfa Arabic is that some of the Turkish words are not taken directly, but transferred to Arabic verb and noun forms. This study will try to reveal how the dialect was influenced by Turkish and how faithful it is to the patterns of the Arabic language in borrowing words.
