In this study, the poem "Wolfsbohne" by Paul A. Celan, one of the world-renowned poets of post-war Austrian literature, has been translated into Turkish. Paul Celan, whose birth anniversary we entered last year, wrote this poem on 21.10.1959, and reworked it on 25.04.1965, bringing the poem to its final form. However, Celan could not have this autobiographical poem published anywhere during his lifetime. In this extraordinary poem, Celan says “Mother!” twenty times. he calls out. In this poem, Celan describes Nazi Germany, where he sacrificed his mother (and father) in the Michailowka concentration camp, as "Murderers!" He describes it as: No publishing house would want to publish this poem because it would attract a reaction because it contains a very negative image of Germany. The poem was first published in 1997, exactly twenty-seven years after Celan's death. This poem of Paul Celan, which we have determined has not been translated into Turkish before, will – probably – appear before Turkish poetry lovers here for the first time. In this study, since the translation of a lyrical literary text is in question, attention has been paid to ensure that the poetic elements in the source language are also present in the target language, and a translation has been tried to be as faithful to the source text as possible in terms of semantics and style. In this context, a translation strategy was developed using Werner Koller's Äquivalenz approach, which means equivalence, methodologically in the translation of the poem.
