Notes In the Hanafi method, the debate on the allocation of the cause has gained a theological identity from time to time. Although Kerhî, Cessâs and Debûsî allowed the allocation of the disease, the approach that dominated the Hanafi method in the period starting with Serahsi was to reject the allocation of the disease. Sarakhsî, who was the pioneer of this approach, considered allowing the allocation of the cause as "disobedience to the Mu'tazila". According to him, those who allow the allocation of the cause must accept the basic teachings of Mu'tazila - especially his view on the issue of accuracy in ijtihad. Ebü'l-Usr Pezdevî, in the same period as Serahsî, and Ebü'l-Berekât Nesefî, who lived two centuries after these scholars, established a connection between the issue of accuracy in ijtihad and the allocation of the cause. Serahsî, Ebü'l-Usr Pezdevî and Ebü'l-Berekât, in the Hanafi method, addressed those who allow the allocation of the cause. This approach, which is limited to Nesafî, has found many followers in the modern period. Accordingly, the fact that Iraqi Hanafis such as Kerhî and Cessâs allowed the allocation of the cause has been evaluated as a result of their exposure to Mu'tazili influence. The focus of the research is to question this evaluation. The discussion of the allocation of malady in Hanafi usul works, its relationship with the issue of accuracy in ijtihad, and the historical background of the approach that considers allowing the allocation of malady as a "tendency towards Mu'tazila" were examined within the framework of the research.
