Notes The heart is an organ that is at the center of a person's material and spiritual life. The spiritual heart, which shares the same space with the material heart, is a luminous and divine grace. In the science of Sufism, the heart has a nature that perceives and is the source of knowledge and thought. In this respect, Sufis expressed their profession as "purification of the soul, purification of the heart" and described the science of Sufism as "ilmü'l-kulub", "marifetü'l-kulub". As a word, heart means changing and transforming at any moment, and it can take on different states and colors depending on the influences and suggestions it receives. As the heart is purified, it can guide people. On the other hand, pollution of the spiritual heart is seen as a dangerous situation for a person's spiritual life. This article aims to examine how the heart, which has an important place in human evolution, transforms spiritually, through the wisdom contained in Ibn Ataullah el-Iskandarî's work called Hikem. Hikem is a work that has been read in many parts of the Islamic world for centuries. The wisdoms about the heart in the work contain important information in terms of revealing the stages through which the heart will be purified. The heart is an organ that is at the center of a person's spiritual life as well as his material life. Sharing the same place with the material heart, the spiritual heart is a luminous and rabbinic latifah. In the science of Sufism, the heart has a quality that understands, comprehends, and is the source of knowledge and thought. In this respect, the Sufis express their job as "purification of the soul, refinement of the heart" and describe the science of Sufism as "ilm al-kulub" and "marifat al-kulub". The heart, as a word, means changing and transforming every moment, and it can assume different states and colors according to the influences and stimuli to which it is exposed. As the heart is purified, it can reach a quality that will guide people. On the other hand, the contamination of the spiritual heart is seen as a dangerous situation for the spiritual life of a person. This study aims to examine how the heart can get spiritually transformed with reference to the wisdom found in Ibn Ataullah al-Iskadari's Hikam, a work that has been read in many parts of the Islamic world for centuries. The concerning wisdom the heart in the work contains important information in terms of revealing the stages through which the heart will be transformed.
