Jerusalem, historical BC. It is a city that dates back to the 3000s. Today, it has become one of the most important focal points in the world. While Jerusalem is the center of different religions and races, it has also hosted many civilizations. Undoubtedly, many works have been written about Jerusalem. One of these works dates back to the XIV-XV period. It is the work named Kitâbu Evsâfı Mesâcidi’ş-Şerîfe by Ahmed Fakîh, who lived for centuries. Another one is in the 17th century. It is the work called Tuhfetü'l-Harameyn by Nâbî, who lived in the 16th century. Ahmed Fakîh's work is a work in verse. Tuhfetü'l-Haremeyn was written in a mixed verse and prose style. According to these works, the authors visited three cities that are important for the Islamic world. These are Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. Apart from these cities, important cities such as Aleppo, Damascus, Ramla and Cairo were also visited on this journey. In these works, emphasis was placed on the architectural structures of the visited cities. In addition, other noteworthy aspects of the cities are also explained. In the works mentioned in this study, narratives especially about the city of Jerusalem were taken as basis. Ahmed Fakîh stayed in Jerusalem for two months. Nabi visited Jerusalem during his pilgrimage and stayed there for three days in total. Here, the authors' observations and determinations about Jerusalem will be emphasized. From what perspective do the authors look at this city when describing it? What do they include and what literary expressions do they use when describing the city? What literary arts did they choose to use when making descriptions? As a result, it has been seen that the Jerusalem described by both poets is a Jerusalem centered on the Al-Aqsa Haram al-Sharif. This old city is almost identified with Masjid al-Aqsa today. In addition, the city walls and the Mount of Olives located on the eastern side of Al-Aqsa add a special value to Jerusalem. In this study, document scanning, sampling and comparison methods were used. With these methods, issues related to the depiction of Jerusalem in the examples in the works named Kitâbu Evsâfı Mesâcidi'ş-Şerîfe and Tuhfetü'l-Harameyn were determined. Kitâbu Evsâfı Mesâcidi'ş-Şerîfe was written in a very simple style. In this work, literary arts are not included much. In the work called Tuhfetü'l-Harameyn, a heavy, ornate and artistic style was preferred. In this work, the poet described Jerusalem in a highly ornamental and artistic language, and used compound expressions consisting of Arabic and Persian words for this purpose. Ahmed Fakîh is a poet who puts his heart on paper. Nâbî, on the other hand, approached the city with complete dignity, decency and respect. This shows that Poet Nâbî was in the position of a true believer poet vis-à-vis Jerusalem. In addition, the works of both authors present Jerusalem as a truly Islamic city at that time.
