Notes Abstract: Commentators benefit from many sciences when discussing a verse. Quran sciences, fiqh method and rhetoric are among these sciences. The effects of the method used by the commentator in interpreting the verses are clearly seen. There are also some external factors that influence and direct the commentator's interpretation. The most important of these are the commentator's opinions regarding theological problems. Most of the time, commentators interpret such verses based on their presuppositions. For this reason, they can interpret the verse metaphorically rather than its literal meaning. Thus, they try to prove their theological preferences with verses. One of the issues that is treated with a presupposition is the issue of whether God performs his actions for a purpose. “I created humans and jinn only to worship/serve Me.” The verse (Zâriyat 51/56) is one of the verses discussed in this context. The following questions are asked about this verse: Do God's actions have a purpose? Considering that He created each human being for worship, do the unbelievers, children and insane people who do not worship Allah act outside His will? Is it possible for God's purpose not to be realized? Is it religious worship that is meant by worship/servitude here, or is it used in a different sense such as knowing Allah? The influence of deduction (Istıdlal) styles and different modes of thought on Tafsir; example of “And I did not create the jinn and humanity except to worship Me” Theverse Zâriyât 51/56.Abstract: Interpreters utilize many different sciences during their examination of the verses of Quran. Quran sciences, methodology of Islamic jurisprudence(fiqh) and Balagha are the primary sources of this interpretation. The outcomes of the methods that have been used during the interpretation by the interpreters can be clearly observed in their works. There are also some external factors that are affecting and directing the interpretation of an interpreter. One and maybe the most common of these factors is interpreter's opinions about the problems of Kalam. Most of the time interpreters are making their interpretations on the basis of their presuppositions. Because of that, they might interpret a verse of the Quran by the metaphorical way instead of real interpretation. Moreover, they try not to make a concession from their essentials. One of the other outcomes of these presuppositions is whether Allah has acted in his actions on a purpose or not. The verse Zâriyat 51/56 “And Idid not create the jinn and humanity except to worship Me” is the most used oneof these verses that have been covered in this framework. There are somequestions regarding this verse such as "Is there any purpose and intentions ofAllah's actions?", "When it has beenthought that Allah created all human kinds and Jinn to worship him, in thiscase the question is those who are children, infidels and mentally ill peopledo not worship him acting out of Allah's will? Is it possible that "Allah'swill" does not become truth? The worship that is mentioned here is the worship, which is based on sharia or in a different meaning such as just to know Allah?
