Weak hadiths are narrations that do not meet the conditions of sahih and hasan hadiths. The degrees of weakness of weak hadiths differ from each other. According to the hadith method, some weak hadiths can rise to the level of hasan when supported by other narrations, while some weak hadiths are not suitable for this reinforcement. Hadiths that are not suitable for promotion in this way and that cannot get rid of their weakness even if they have followers or witnesses can be called "extremely weak hadiths". As in most hadith terminologies, expressions regarding the degree of weakness of narrations and the concept of "very/extremely weak hadith" have gradually emerged for certain reasons. In this study, the emergence of the term "very/extremely weak hadith" is emphasized, which narrations are considered too weak according to the hadith method and the methods of detecting very weak hadiths are mentioned. The uses that can be considered in connection with the degree of weakness of the narrations were first mentioned in the hadith circles, albeit with different expressions, in the seventh Hijri. The terminology for the extreme/extreme weakness of the narrations was seen in the 8th century AD. It has been determined that it became widespread in the 19th century with discussions about weak hadiths and the conditions of action.
