Usulists agreed on the principle of the necessity of acting on ahad hadiths that express suspicion in terms of evidence. However, they disagreed on how to act with this type of hadith and put forward different conditions. One of the conditions that Hanafi and Maliki scholars include in this context is that the ahad hadith should not contain a provision contrary to the Quran. In other words, it is presented to the Quran. Imam Shafii, on the other hand, deals with the presentation of ahad hadith into the Quran from two different perspectives: rejection and acceptance. Shafii uses this method not in the determination of the hadiths, but in his selection. The method of inference discussed among the Usul scholars expresses suspicion because it is based on some theoretical/inferential information. This is the reason why the Usul scholars disagree on inference/action with the hadiths that are presented and contradicted by the Quran. The method of referring to the Quran is also used by hadith scholars. This method concerns a small portion of the hadiths.
