Notes
The Covit-19 process affects health, culture, art, economy, tourism, etc., especially education. It has negatively affected all segments of society in these areas. Going beyond traditional education in education has brought about great difficulties. In this period when face-to-face education could not be provided due to the epidemic, distance education was seen as a solution. However, distance education has not only not solved the existing problems in the traditional education process, but also created new problems within itself. This situation, which is experienced in general education, is also similar in terms of theology faculties. It is possible to concretely identify the problems in current distance education and produce solutions by taking into account the opinions of the participants who are exposed to distance education. This study, handled on this axis, aimed to reveal the views of theology students about the distance education process. The findings obtained from students' opinions about distance education were evaluated through frequency tables. As a result of the research, it was determined that the distance education period was generally seen as a lost education period by theology students, and that distance education, which is an alternative solution, was not as effective as face-to-face education. Therefore, it has been concluded that distance education is not a suitable and useful education system for theology faculties. For this reason, improving distance education, which forms the basis of education during the Covit-19 process, in line with the opinions of the participants, will benefit the stakeholders of education. It is expected that the findings obtained from this study will contribute to the action plans to be developed to increase the quality of distance education in theology faculties and to shape education policies.
