There are children's Bibles and a Torah for Jewish children, a Koran for children contradicts the understanding of Islam. Now two Muslims working as religious educators have dared to give young people, especially Muslims and non-Muslims, first access to the Koran through their work. And they are stepping into a number of Fundi's faux pas. The extensive, confusing Koran text was thematically prepared in 12 chapters: on the left in the Arabic original, on the right in a simple translation that is particularly meaningful for young people, explanations included. In addition - despite the ban on images and also due to accessibility - the book is provided with miniatures from the Islamic world (including Mohammed). As beautiful as the furnishings are, the message tendencies are harmonious: you won't find words like jihad, veil or sharia here; instead, the humanistic orientation of the Koran is cultivated. It is therefore forbidden to talk about softened Islam. A book that is intended to encourage original reading and will certainly enrich Islamic studies and religious education lessons. - Widely recommended. - The translation of the Koran, which is particularly understandable for young people, offers a helpful key to getting to know the holy book of the Muslims.
