The fountain is one of the important social facilities within Islamic society, which kings and princes throughout the ages were keen to establish for more than six centuries throughout the period of the Mamluk and Ottoman rule. The emergence and existence of the fountain was linked to the number of residents and their geographical distribution, as its presence was concentrated in populated areas such as markets and commercial neighborhoods, because it played an important role in watering passers-by and animals on the streets, and thus it became a distinctive feature of the Islamic city. The research aims to study the emergence and development of the appearance of avenues in Egypt, the most important styles and prevailing patterns that appeared during the Mamluk and Ottoman eras, the most important components of the avenue, as well as the role of the avenue within the urban fabric. It also monitors examples of architectural and urban encroachments that occurred on historical avenues that constituted a social and urban function within society and whose role subsequently faded, in an attempt to reach a clear strategy to preserve and re-operate them within the framework of appropriate intervention methods, through three successive stages. The research studies the Ali Bey Al-Kabir Avenue in Tanta, its historical background, the stages and steps of the intervention that took place on it, including the museum garden located inside it, and monitors the current status of the avenue and the encroachments that have occurred to it, then attempts to develop a plan to re-operate it as a basic step to begin proposing appropriate intervention and treatment processes that make it part of the civilizational and cultural heritage of the city. The study concludes with the status of the historical roads in Egypt and the most important encroachments that occurred on them, and the presence of planning and organizational randomness during the dismantling and defacing of the Ali Bey Al-Kabir Street, as well as the lack of clarity in an operational plan for the road and its reuse, which calls for developing a strategy to preserve and re-operate such buildings. Sabil is one of the important social buildings within the Islamic community, which the kings and princes throughout the ages have been keen to establish for more than six centuries throughout the rule of the Mamluk and Ottomans. The origin and existence of Asbala was associated with the number of population and their geographic distribution, focusing on populated areas such as markets and commercial neighborhoods. for playing an important role in watering pedestrians and animals in the streets and thus became a distinctive feature of the Islamic city. the study aims to study the emergence and development of the appearance of Sabil in Egypt and the most important styles and patterns that emerged during the Mamluk and Ottoman periods and the most important components of Sabil as well as the role of Sabil within the urban fabric as well as examples of the architectural and urban transitions that took place on the historical Asbla that were a social and urban function within the society and the disappearance of role in an attempt to arrive at its clear strategy for maintaining and re-operating them within the framework of appropriate intervention methods through three successive stages. The study examines Sabil Ali Beck al Kabeer in Tanta and its historical background, stages and steps of intervention, including the museum garden within it, monitoring the current situation of the avenue and the violations that occurred to him, and then try to develop a plan to re-operate it as an essential step to start the introduction of interventions and appropriate treatment and make it part of the cultural and cultural heritage of the city. The study concludes with the historical Asbla of Egypt and the most important violations, and the existence of random planning and organizational during the deconstruction of Sabil Ali Beck as well as the lack of clarity of the operational plan of the avenue and reuse, which calls for a strategy for the conservation and reconstruction of such buildings.
