Notes
"Parvum hocce Glossarium Persico - turcicum ex Bibliotheca J. C. Clodii, Prof: olim
in Acad. Lips: celeberrimi sibi acquisivit F. E. A. Heydenreich. Merseb. S.S. Theol.
Cand. Lips. 1746." — Good nastaʿlīq with black (Persian) and red (Turkish) lines on the page — black, red — Arabic script → Nastaʽlīq — paper — A small dictionary in which the Persian, Turkish words arranged according to their form
be explained. Der Inhalt ist inzehn qism eingeteilt. The work is nothing else,
as a slightly different review of the dictionary that, after the first
in the same explained word, usually called Kitāb-i dānistan (see Gotha no.
13); only that here is a short introduction written in Persian that is usually missing
is sent in advance, in which the title and author are mentioned and the synopsis is given
will. On the inside of the two covers and on f. 1a (which is in European
mounted on paper) there are a number of Persian verbs with an indication of the pronunciation
and Latin translation, according to a signature from Meninski's lexicon
pulled out. They are probably by J. C. Clodius (d. 1745)
written because the manuscript comes from his library.
