Notes	It is a Persian verse commentary written by Nimetullah Nahcıvânî (d.1514) on Mahmûd Şebüsterî's (d.1324) work titled Gülşen-i Râzi."Gülşen-i Râz, which is one of the important works of Sufi literature and deals with the philosophy of unity of existence, has been among the important works of Eastern literature since the date it was written. It has maintained its influence until today. There are around 35 commentaries written on this work in our literature" (Sevgi 1996: 254). Şerh-i Gülşen-i Râz was completed in Akşehir in Cemâde'l-Uhrâ 906 (1500). Manuscripts are in the libraries of Istanbul, Berlin and Tehran. In biographical works, especially in Taşköprizade's Şakaikü'n-Nu'maniyye, it was evaluated as an "acceptable and detailed comment in the eyes of the people". Abdülbaki Gölpınarlı, who translated Şebüsterî's Gülşen-i Râz into Turkish, also appreciated this work and described it as "a commentary too deeply embedded in science and mysticism" (Musakhanov 2011: 14). Bursalı Mehmed Tahir Efendi, in his biography of Nakhcıvanî in Ottoman Authors, wrote, "Gülşen-i They also wrote a detailed commentary on Farisiyü'l-ibâre in a wise manner for Râz, a copy of which is in some of the libraries in Istanbul and in the İne Bey Library in Bursa." While commenting on this work, which he wrote about the body, Nahcivani followed the same method and reflected his own Sufi views in the work. Regarding Gülşen-i Râzi, Yaşar Kurt says, "The beginning of the work consists of the knowledge of Sufism of the period. In the continuation, he addresses the people who have just entered the path of Sufism (converts). Then, the explanation of Sufi principles, "It is given in proportion to the Sufis' degree of wisdom and comprehension. While explaining the meanings that the Sufis mean by metaphors such as eyebrows, eyes, wine, candles, taverns, etc., the expression no longer respects the level, it becomes a complete ecstasy, a complete poetry, and this enthusiasm and this unconditional flow continues until the end." commented (1998: 62) Author's copy of the work, Süleymaniye Library Lala İsmail Library, No: 168.
