Notes
Garîbî's divan from the Classical Chagatai Turkish period. Şâh Garîb Mîrzâ (Arat 1985: 255), the son of Sultan Hüseyin Mîrzâ Baykara (1470-1506) from his wife Hatice Begüm, was a contemporary of Nevâyi (d. 906/1501). Nevâyi, who introduced the poet Garîbî under the title of "great sultans and their children worthy of respect" in Mecâlisü'n-Nefâyis and stated that he liked the "young poet" Garîbî, stated that he found the verses written by his pen successful. Nevâyi, who gives the information that Garîbî prepared a divan (Eraslan 2001: 521-522), does not give any other information about the work (Eraslan 2001: 191, 199, 513, 521-522), says that the poet is "...dakik-fehm cevânî/a thoughtful young man" (Hekmat 1945: 128) lists his qualifications as follows. Drawing attention to the emotional temperament of the artist in these definitions serves as the justification for the lyrical structure contained in the divan. The information given about Garîbî and his divan "during his period and after him" is limited to those conveyed in sources such as Baburnâme and Mecâlisü'n-Nefâyis (Yarkın 2010: 16). Garîbî Divan, h. 940/m. It was copied by Mevlana Şükrüllah in 1534. The work, which is included in the Classical period of Chagatai language in terms of the linguistic features it contains, consists of Persian and Turkish poems. The work is in three parts; These are: Poems of Hilâlî Çağatâyî (d. h. 936/ m. 1529-30); Persian Poems are Turkish Poems (Gök 2019: 7, 315). The work consists of ghazals, muhammes and stanzas (Yarkın 2010: 5-6). In the Dîvân, the main aruz pattern of bahri fâʽilâtün/ fâʽilâtün/ fâʽilâtün/ fâʽilün was generally used, and full and rich rhyme was preferred as the rhyme type (Gök 2019: 10). There are more poems in the form of ghazals in the work (Gök 2019: 9). It is understood that the amorous style of diction is dominant in the divan. Garîbî, who was influenced by his father, Sultan Hüseyin Baykara, who was a poet like himself, and Nevâyi, the master poet of the period, wrote parallels to both of them in his work (Yarkın 2010). Stating that Garîbî was adept at composing original and beautiful lines, Nevâyi, who loves lyricism, "finds not only the verse but also the prose of this young poet successful" (Eraslan 2001: 521-522). This 188-page work of Shah Mîrzâ Garîb, who took over the administration of Herat for a short period, is a single copy. The manuscript is registered at Orient number 15 and was presented to the Uzbek people by the Hamburg National Library delegation on behalf of the German government, to the Presidency of the Babur People's Council in 1999 (Yarkın 2010: 5-6). Şefika Yarkın published the work in Cyrillic alphabet in Tashkent in 2001. In 2010, he examines the work in a broader context; He publishes his work in Afghan Uzbek. Nadim Gök (2019) writes his master's thesis about Garîbî Dîvân, based on Yarkın's printed text published in Uzbek Turkish. Apart from these, a researcher named İsmetullah wrote two articles on the work named "Şâh Garîb Mîrzâ" and "Şahlarnıng Garîbî" in 2000. Inayetullah Şehranî, one of the scholars of Afghanistan, published Garîbî's Persian Divan (Yarkın 2010: 17). For the artist's biography, see. “Şâh Garîb Mîrzâ”.Turkish Literature Names Dictionary.
