Notes	Persian masnavi written by Mevlevi sheikh Kara Abdal Süleymân Şemsî Dede, inspired by Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî's Mesnevi. All poems of Şemsi Dede were published as a single work under two titles. According to this text, known as Dîvânçe, Şemsî wrote it in Persian. The mesnevi section is named Tuhfetü'l-Mesbevî alâ hubbi'l-Haydarî. This masnavi consists of 340 couplets. The work begins with a supplication titled "Der-Munâcât-ı Kâdiyu'l-Hâcât". In this section, which consists of 31 couplets, mainly the beautiful names of God Almighty are depicted and forgiveness and mercy are requested from Him. In some places, verses and couplets from Mevlana's Mesnevi are also included. In the second part titled "Der-Hamd u Senâ-yı Hudây-ı Te'âlâ 'Azze ve Celle", God Almighty is thanked. Similar to the first part, Allah's names and attributes are emphasized and His effects on the universe and beings are mentioned. This part consists of 23 couplets. The third part, consisting of 28 couplets, is titled "Der-sitâyiş-i Enbiyâ-yı 'İzâm 'Aleyhimu's-selâm". Here Hz. Adam, Hz. Şît, Hz. Noah, Hz. Ibrahim, Hz. Ismail, Hz. David, Hz. Solomon, Hz. Jacob, Hz. Yusuf, Hz. Moses, Hz. Cercîs, Hz. Zekeriyya, Hz. Yunus, Hz. Yahya, Hz. Shu'ayb, Hz. Ayyub, Hz. Khidr, Hz. Ilyas, Hz. Jesus and Hz. Idrîs is mentioned in the fourth chapter titled "Der-Na't-ı Pâk-ı Habîb-i Hudâ Hazret-i Muhammedini'l-Mustafâ Salavâtullâhi 'Aleyhi't-tahiyyât". Matters such as Muhammad's names, attributes, miracles, verses revealed about him, and asking for intercession from his spiritual personality are touched upon. This part consists of 45 couplets. In the fifth part, with the title "Der-Senâ-yı Çehâr Yâr-ı Vefâ-Şi'âr-ı Hazret-i Ahmed-i Muhtâr", four close friends and caliphs of our prophet, Hz. Abu Bakr, Hz. Omar, Hz. Osman and Hz. Ali's qualities are mentioned. In this section of 40 couplets, mainly Hz. There is praise for Alî. Persons such as Şem'ûn, Ahmed Er-Rıfâî, Şems-i Tebrîzî, Seyyid Burhâneddîn Muhakkık-ı Tirmîzî, Selâhaddîn Zerkûb, Hüsâmeddîn Çelebî and Mevlânâ Celâleddîn-i Rûmî are praised. In addition, this part, where the relations between the prophets and saints are discussed, consists of 43 couplets. The eighth part, consisting of 13 couplets, is titled "Der-Sitâyiş-i Sıbteyn-i Resûl-i Sakaleyn". Here, the grandchildren of our prophet, Hz. Hasan and Hz. Hüseyin is praised. In the ninth chapter, in 37 couplets titled "Der-Vak'a-i Dil-sûz-i Kerbelâ ve Mezemmet-i Yezîd-i Pelîd", the incident of Karbala is mentioned about Hz. The cruelties inflicted on Hüseyin and his relatives, and the characteristics of Muharram and Ashura are explained. In addition, the hatred and anger towards Yazid and Shimr, who were responsible for this painful incident, are depicted. In the tenth part, titled "Der-Tenbîh-i Gâfilân ve Ecsiye-i Şehîdân", there are elegies for the oppressed who were martyred in the Karbala incident and warning couplets for the heedless. This part consists of 21 couplets. In the next two chapters, the virtues of the martyrs of Karbala are praised under the titles "Fazilet-i Girye Berây-ı Vak'a-i Dil-sûz-ı Şehîdân-ı Kerbelâ" and "Der-senâ-yı Şuhedâ-yı Kerbelâ". These two parts are 30 couplets. The last part of Tuhfetü'l-Mesnevî is 23 couplets and is titled "Der-Tazarru' u Du'â". In this part, prayers and supplications are included, mentioning the beautiful names of God Almighty regarding his pardon, mercy and forgiveness.
