Notes	The novel translated by Ali Muzaffer Bey. In the introduction of the work, Ali Muzaffer Bey says that he bought this small book with a green cover from a book exhibition in Beyoğlu and after reading it in a short time of 1 hour, he decided to translate what was written in order to make it available to everyone. He states that the name of the book is "Usured Virginities" and that the name of the author is not included in the book. Ali Muzaffer Bey also states that there is another volume of the work, but he could not access it. Ali Muzaffer Bey explains that his purpose in translating this book, which consists of the introduction, three letters and the hatime sections, is not to criticize anyone and that he has translated the work faithfully to the original. In the introduction section, information is given about how Ali Muzaffer Bey came to the work and for what purpose he translated it. In the letters written by two women to each other, in which they describe their adventures, the obscene events that took place in Italy in 1803 are depicted and described, while focusing on the daily lives of women. Sexuality pervades the entire text and is described in great detail. Events shaped around themes such as love, jealousy and revenge lead women to different endings. In the Hatime-i Mütercim section, Ali Muzaffer Bey emphasizes that he has never heard of the obscenity in this booklet before and that it is very important that the stories are not based on hearsay but were written by a European writer based on facts. He states that he will continue to translate such works, which he calls Rezaletname, because these texts are also a service to Turkish literature.
