Notes	Written by Vasubandhu; A compilation in the form of poetry consisting of 600 verses that summarize and explain the ideas of Sarvâstivâdin's Mahâvibhâsâ. This work can be considered as a commentary within the mahâyâna sutras. Kögi Kudara worked on Abhidharmakoşakârikâ, one of the works of Buddhist Uyghur Literature, and the only publication on the work was made by him. Kudara was discovered in 1981 by Xuanzang in a small Uyghur fragment at the Istanbul University Library, M.S. He explained it as a translation of Vasubandhu's Abhidharmakoşakârikâ, which was translated into Chinese under the title A pi da mo ju she lun ben song in 651. This fragment, consisting of 25 lines, is written in Uyghur italic handwriting and also contains Chinese characters. Since each line in the Uyghur translation begins with characters in the Chinese text, Kudara was able to identify the caricatures corresponding to the Chinese text while doing his work. In this regard, it is understood that the caricatures that make up the Uyghur fragment are a non-standard translation of the caricatures numbered 11-20 of Dhâtu-nirdesa, the first part of Abhidharmakoşakârikâ.
