Notes	Arabic Sufi treatise of Larendeli Mehmed Şânî Efendi. Miratü's-Safâ is a 9-leaf mystical work written in Arabic about the manifestations of Allah's names and the levels of Sufism. The name of the poet is mentioned in the work as follows: "el-Abdü'l-Müznibü'l-Cânî İbrahim b. Abdurrahman el-Karamanî Eş-sehîr bi-Şânî el-Lârendevî ve Hüve fi Rivayeti'l-İşk Münzevi." (Alparslan 2007: 12). In the work, the names of Allah and Sufism are mentioned. There are sections where the levels are given. Circular rulers were added to these parts, which enhance the visuality of the work. There are eleven tables in both copies. Mehmed Şânî Efendi mentioned some of the sources he used while writing the work. These are Ferîdüddin Attâr's (b. AH 536 - 537; 539 - 540 AD / 1142 - 45 (?) - d. AH 618 / AD 1221) Mantıku't-Tayr, Azîz Nesefî's (b. ? - d. 700 AD / 1300 AD) [?])Maksadu'l-Aqsa; Ni'metullâh-ı Velî's (b. H. 730-731/AD 1330 - d. H. 834/AD 1431)'s Kitâbü'l Mükâşefe and Hâfız-ı Şirâzî's (b. ? - d. H. 792/AD 1390 [?]) Divan (Esad Efendi 1478: 132a, Osman Ergin 59: 102a). As we understand from the information given in the last part of the work, this work was completed on H 9 Zilhicce 989 / AD 4 January 1582. In the introduction of the work, Sultan III. Prayers are made to Murad (Esad Efendi 132a-132b). However, the work was written by Sheikh Kerim b., whom Shani introduced as his sheikh. It was dedicated to Gülşenî Vardârî Edirnevî. This is also mentioned in many parts of the work by sheikh Kerim b. It can be understood from Gülşenî Vardârî's praise for Edirnevî. There are two known copies of the work today. One of them is in the İBB Atatürk Library Osman Ergin Manuscripts Collection, number 59, between 102a-107avaraks; The other one is registered in Süleymaniye Library Esad Efendi Department, number 1478, between 131b-140avaraks. Of these two copies, the copying date of the copy in the IMM Atatürk Library is given as H 10 Şaban 1341 / AD 28 March 1923 (Osman Ergin 59: 107a). It is understood from the font and materials used that this copy was copied in a late period. As a matter of fact, the copy is written in cursive and has an index table drawn in pencil at the beginning. However, we do not have any information about the date of copying or the copyist of the other copy. Today, no translation or critical text study about Mehmed Şânî Efendi's Mir'atü's-Safâ has been found.
