Notes Arabic prose treatise written by Ümm-i Veled-zâde Ali Efendi in the character of a sword. The copy of the treatise is among the pages 145b-147a of the manuscript registered at Tokat Provincial Public Library 60 Hk 25/16. The author wrote this treatise with Hz. He wrote it to be a means to the Prophet's intercession and salvation, and to be a reason to attain high degrees; Hz of the ant. With such a humble attitude as bringing a grasshopper's leg to Solomon as a gift and adding a layer of tar to the ocean, Hz. He dedicated it to the exalted rank of the Prophet. Risale-i Seyfiyye is a text with many verses. Inactive and active are together. In addition to humble and mutarraf seci', musarra' seci', which makes the text relatively heavier due to the words chosen to ensure the unity of meter and rhyme among more than one corresponding word, is also used in the text. Sword in the work; He is likened to a ruler who has all the affairs in his hands, like Seffâh (Ebu'l-Abbâs es-Seffâh d.754) and Timur (d. 1405); He is depicted as a generous and fearless hero whose anger is fierce, his tongue is sharp, who frees slaves, and is presented as evidence that gives confidence to Muslims and proves the destruction of infidels. Referring to the stages of its construction, it is stated that the face of the sword is clear as water and its works are burning like fire. In praise of the sword, Surah al-Hadid says, "And We sent down the iron, in which there is great power and benefits for people." The hadith "Heaven is under the shadow of the swords" (Bukhari, Jihad 112) is referred to in the 25th verse. The relationship of the sword with elements such as fire, water and mountains; It is portrayed as thin, elegant and light; source of accident and fate; Issues such as being seen as the source of benefit and harm are a reflection of the fusion of the concepts about the sword, which was considered sacred and had an important place in the mental world of the Turks before Islam, with Islamic culture (Ögel 1948:458, Akkurt 2018:91).
